The 2nd House
Food is represented in the 2nd house in Astrology, and it’s also the traditional house of values & stability, all is represented in the 2nd House.
But in this post, I am going to focus on food.
The Moon & Food
Having your moon in 2nd house suggests that your emotional need is having stability & food is one of those needs. For these people one of their love languages is food & they are themselves also great nurturers who enjoy providing for others.

2H is the most traditional house of values & stability. Things that give the person stability are home, family & financial security. For such people, without money, they might not feel stable. These people have a desire & need to be comfortable in life, material comfort is important. 2nd house also rules food, luxury, and the sensual things in life. These people have a strong need to be provided for, do not mistake this, for being a gold digger, no that’s not what I am saying, these people simply value comfort and a home based very highly. The moon also represents the mother, the nurturing figure when young, the mother was a traditional mother with traditional values.
Saturn & Food
Having Saturn, in the 2nd House, may manifest in the person being a picky eater. Or maybe having restrictions when it comes to food, allergy, or sensitivities. When I relocated to Shanghai, Saturn sat on my 2nd House, & yes that manifested with me having food being a struggle for me living there.
I lost my love & passion for food, & if you knew me prior you would know that food has always been my 1st love. I even had a food blog 5 years prior to moving there, my whole social media was about food! But that was really something I struggled with when I was in Shanghai, in fact, it was one of the big reasons to why I left Shanghai eventually.
Saturn in 2nd House

2nd house is the house of material security resources & tradition. These people are conscious & focused on finances & resources. However, Saturn here brings delays in the area. Until 30/35. These people must learn to manage their finances & resources. These people are usually more responsible. These people may overcompensate by overworking & just focusing on money money as this is what they are most insecure about & what gives them a sense of security the most. 2nd house is also self-worth & thus the 1st 30-35 years the person lacks self-love. Advice here: these people do well having regular meals, small meals not big & these people are likely to do really well fasting!

For example, a Jupiter in Cancer will give an abundance of finances & wealth. But a weaker sign, like Capricorn, they may still have the knowledge but their decisions are not as wise & right (not productive & good for the individual). But overall these people tend to not have financial issues. Having Venus in 2nd house will also show someone who is a foodie! They love food along with other life pleasures & luxuries (depending on the sign). Taurus Venus in 2nd house will be a person who loves luxurious things in life.
