In Astrology, the chart ruler is a significant concept that represents the planet that rules the zodiac sign on the Ascendant (also known as the Rising Sign).

The Ascendant is the sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the time of your birth and is an essential factor in determining your overall personality and physical appearance. The planet that rules your Ascendant sign becomes your chart ruler.
