- 22nd July – September 3rd = Venus will be RETROGRADE in LEO
- 6th June = Venus entered Leo
- 6th June – 10th October = Venus is in the sign of Leo
- 19th June = will pre-shadow = 12 degree 12 mins in Leo
- 2nd July = Venus squared Uranus
- 29th August = Venus will be visible as a MORNING STAR = at 29 degree of Cancer
- 3rd September = Venus MOVE DIRECT at 12 degrees 12 mins in Leo
- Until 7th October = Venus is in post-shadow
- 8th October = Venus will leave Leo’s sign
Venus Retrograde
- Venus will make a square to all the fixed signs (Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius & Taurus)
- Venus is more beneficial for the night chart – and Jupiter for the Day chart
- Trine & sextile the nodes = karmic stuff may happen
- Overall Venus in Leo for 4 months is a really nice thing = The house where it’s happening for you will increase (so check what house is Leo in your chart)
What is Venus in Astrology?
Venus is the second planet from the Sun in our solar system and is also known as the “Morning Star” or “Evening Star” due to its visibility in the sky. In astrology, Venus is considered one of the inner, personal planets, along with Mercury, Mars, and the Moon. It is named after the Roman goddess of love, beauty, and pleasure.
Venus in Astrology represents love, romance, harmony, and beauty, but also our finances & what we value – what is important to us.
What happens when Venus is in Retrograde?
Venus retrograde is about assessing & examining if something is worth your effort. Something from the past might come to help you re-evaluate something. sometimes sets a past relationship.
You may end a relationship because you realize you put too much into it than you should – maybe the person doesn’t love you or put into the relationship like you have. OR Maybe you re-commit into the relationship because you realize how good this relationship is – Sometimes people get engaged or the relationship becomes more serious, as a result of that which is great!! However, it is generally advisable to not get married until Venus goes direct.
Pay attention to how you feel in early July – if your relationship feels good then this is a sign that this relationship is good for you. But if you don’t feel good & have a negative experience then pay attention & make note of this, as this is an important sign. But it’s best to take a decision after Venus goes direct. so the end of August/early September (3rd September is when it goes direct).
During this period certain things will come strongly to you (that is finances, your values, & relationships).
If this is happening in your 1, 5, 7, or 9th house – this is a strong indicator that a relationship matters and will be the highlight in this period. So these are the following signs:
- Leo rising = 1st house
- Aries Rising = 5th House
- Aquarius Rising = 7th house
- Sagittarius Rising = 9th house
But especially for those where Venus rules their 5th & 7th, houses:
- Capricorn & Aries rising = Venus rules your 5th House
- Scorpio & Gemini rising = Venus rules your 7th House
Love & relationships will be the main theme during this time, a relationship will either break or will step to the next level.

It might be easy for some & really hard for others, but this time is a period where you will realize what you have been undervaluing or overvaluing & it will make you examine things in life, especially relationships, your self-worth & all things you value in your life. it might lead to a break up in relationships or other areas of life, but it will certainly be for the better – even if it’s painful initially.

- Aries rising / 5H = re-examining your dating life, your love & relationships, relationship with children, often become more creative during this time
- Pisces rising / 6H = re-examining health, colleagues, daily lifestyle
- Aquarius rising / 7H = re-examining your relationships, your partnership with others, including your business, a new relationship might come, often people fall in love
- Capricorn rising / 8H = re-examining mutual finances with others, resources, shared resources, money that might come back to you from others, money that comes from your business, a new perspective about how to make more money, you will receive something from another – a good time to re-evaluate your finances – it can also deepen your intimacy in a relationship
- Sagittarius rising/ 9H = re-examining if you are on the right path, your faith, beliefs, are your dreams & hopes are realistic – someone may come to your life, a teacher a love.
